Who We Are
Patterson Recognizing Individuals Determined to Excel
PRIDE is a non-profit, tax exempt, community-based corporation. PRIDE’s sole purpose is to award scholarships to graduates of the Patterson Unified School District. We help our community’s students further their education in colleges, universities or technical schools.
P.R.I.D.E. History
The Patterson Unified School District ran a successful bond election in 2001 in order to build the Creekside Middle School. That bond committee had approximately $10,000 remaining in the campaign account and they decided to invest this money in a scholarship program. The bond committee, along with other members of the community, set in motion the P.R.I.D.E. Scholarship Program. P.R.I.D.E. was officially established as a nonprofit corporation in 2002.
Since then, PRIDE has raised more than One Million Dollars through fundraising events, memorial scholarships, memberships and donations. Over 650 scholarships have been awarded to local students! These results could not have been accomplished without the hard work and combined efforts from our community, school district and local businesses.
PRIDE is a non-profit organization that is volunteer driven.
PRIDE’s board works in conjunction with other community service organizations on its annual fundraiser for the enhancement of each group’s efforts to support our community.
